QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate should have the following desired skills:
  • Five or more years’ experience in PowerShell script writing;
  • Five or more years’ experience in packaging MSI (Microsoft Installer)
  • Seven or more years’ experience in the Information Technology field;
  • Seven or more years’ experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Office products; and
  • Seven or more years’ experience in troubleshooting problems with Windows based desktops and notebooks.
  • SCCM or SMS or WSUS
  • Microsoft Software Release packaging experience
  • Desktop Image Development

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen willing and able to submit to and obtain a “Public Trust” background investigation.

WORK LOCATION: Washington DC 20410.

WORK HOURS: All work shall be performed during normal business hours Monday through Friday, excluding Government Holidays.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

The Software Development Analyst Sr. is responsible for packaging software for automated deployment and Microsoft Windows-based image development.

The following are the required tasks expected for this position; other duties may be required as assigned.

  • Select, test, document and package software for automated deployment;
  • Produce test plans for functional testing;
  • Create scripts to resolve specific software problems;
  • Independently develop approaches to solutions, and act independently to solve problems;
  • Perform a variety of activities in information systems design, development, and analysis encompassing one or more of the following areas of technical expertise: programming, computer application analysis, software development, systems integration and related disciplines;
  • Design, build and support Microsoft Windows based images for standard desktops and laptops;
  • Engage in all aspects of desktop configuration including operating system optimization, hardware installation, software configuration and Active Directory Policy definitions;
  • Assist PC technicians and staff troubleshooting hardware and software problems;
  • Provide problem determination / resolution based upon PC experience and standard Windows operating procedures.
  • Document, escalate and propose solutions for Tier 3 and work with appropriate organizations to achieve resolution;
  • Participate in resolution of service related issues and the development of standard operating procedures;
  • Evaluate new hardware and software technologies for use within the environment; and
  • Effectively interface with users and support organizations to ensure smooth flow of communications in all directions
