Job Title: Tier 2 Desktop Support Technician

Location: Lanham, Maryland

What you will be doing:

Tier2 desktop support technician for a mid-scale (12,000 user) environment. The environment includes:

• Windows 7 SP1
• HDVTC
• Office 365, Exchange 2007/2010
• Active Directory 2007
• MS Office 2010 Professional (includes Outlook and InfoPath)
• Outlook Web Access
• Citrix, Dell SonicWall SSL VPN
• Collaboration Tools: SharePoint, OCS, LiveMeeting
• Anti-spam/Anti-virus protection
• McAfee Endpoint Encryption
• Entrust grid cards for two-factor authentication

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 4 years overall IT experience with focus on desktop experience
• Knowledge of tech refresh processes and procedures
• Local facility desktop support for hardware/software
• Office 365 Outlook Web Access (OWA) user support
• Outlook troubleshooting and configuration
• Two factor authentication
• Trouble ticket resolution tied to internal SLA’s
• Maintenance of desktops and laptops

• Thorough understanding of migration considerations including tech refresh, profile migration and data migration

Desired skills:

• Insight of tech refresh process and procedures
• Knowledge of/experience provisioning and supporting 2-factor authentication
• Knowledge of creating/editing team processes and procedures
• Troubleshooting skills for desktop support
• Detail oriented for documenting root cause analysis
• Thorough understanding of Active Directory
• Experience providing excellent on-site customer service
• Experience with supporting Executive staff

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a HUD Public Trust Clearance
