ALQIMI Analytics & Intelligence a subsidiary of ALQIMI Technology is currently seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our team.

The Business Intelligence Developer will work with project teams on customer projects and product development to create amazing and extremely compelling data visualizations.  Work will include “for hire” customer engagements as well as product development for our software solutions.  . The candidate should have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment, highly self-motivated, be fully comfortable with working in a fast-paced agile work environment, and be able to perform tasks effectively and take full ownership of their work assignments to drive projects towards planned objectives and milestones. He/she should also have quick learning skills and strong problem solving skills.  Ability to work both independently, in a team, and with customers to achieve design and delivery goals is a must
 
Responsibilities:
-          Work as a team member being capable of project team participation, plan creation, task execution and management to deliver solid results
-          Work with Team Leader and senior management to translate customer usage models into specific requirements for new solution features and capabilities in big data solutions
-          Work effectively as a key member of a core team consisting of senior engineers and other developers to drive new solution or product features and solution architecture definitions
 

1. Expert competency in Data Visualization Technologies
   1. Open Source: d3js.org, c3js.org, SVG, Polymaps, Processingjs.org, FLOT, Flare, graphviz, Dygraphs, etc.
   2. 3D: Unity, etc.
   3. Mapping JS APIs Google, ESRI, Open Layers
   4. Proprietary:  Cognos, Business Objects, SAP
2. A strong Background in:
   1. SQL - RDBMS [5 Primary –Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL]
   2. HTML, JSON, XML, Node.JS, JavaScript,AJAX, REST, JQuery, HTML5/CSS3,
3. Ideally, a hands on understanding of:

1. Big Data products & architecture, Hadoop/HDFS/Hive, [Spark/Shark/etc.], Map Reduce, Hive, Pig, NoSQL, Streaming technologies such as Storm, Graph Computing, data tagging, etc.
2. Development:  J2EE/Java, Java Frameworks (Spring, Vaadin, Struts, etc.), Tomcat and/or other Application servers
3. AGILE Development, SCRUM, JIRA
